President Kiir In Uganda For Two Days Working Visit

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni received President Salva Kiir at the state house in Entebbe Uganda on Saturday.

President Salva Kiir who is in Entebbe Uganda for a two days working visit on the invitation of President Kaguta Museveni held bilateral talks with his Ugandan counterpart and the progress on the implementation of the revitalized peace agreement.

The Minister in the Office of the President, Hon. Mayiik Ayii Deng, and Director General of external security Thomas Duoth accompanied President Salva Kiir to Entebbe Uganda where he was highly received by Ugandan senior government officials.

The Minister in the Office of the President, Mayiik Ayii Deng said, President Salva Kiir briefed President Museveni on the progress of the implementation of the peace deal especially on the formation of the national army.

Hon. Mayiik also outlined that President Salva Kiir briefed President Museveni on his efforts to bring peace and stability in the neighboring country the Sudan.

The two leaders also discussed e construction of the Yei-Kaya highway. Yei-Kaya Road is a major trade route, connecting South Sudan, Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The construction project is funded by the Uganda government.
