Supreme Commander Of South Sudan Organized Forces, President Kiir Opened The Leadership Round Table Conference

The supreme commander of South Sudan organized forces, President Salva Kiir Mayardit opened the leadership Round Table conference organized by the Ministry of Interior at the police headquarters under the theme “Working Together for the Implementation of the Revitalized Peace Agreement”.

In his opening remarks, the President of the Republic called on the organized forces to receive their brothers from the opposition who would be integrated into the organized forces with open hands and hearts, and work together for the protection of the civil population and their property.

The Minister of Interior, Michael Chiengjiek said that the leadership round table conference is organized to update the police leadership on the Revitalized Peace Agreement, evaluate the police services as well as organizing the administrative hierarchy of the organized forces in the coming period of the implementation of the peace deal.

In addition, the Inspector general of the South Sudan Police Service, Gen. Majak Akech Malok assured the President and the public that the police forces are ready for the coming Transitional period citing lack of uniform and mobility as the challenges facing the organized force.

The three days leadership roundtable conference brought together Police Commissioners from the thirty-two states (32), plus the Abyei Administrative Area.
