Sudan & Uganda pledged joint temporary protection force for the I.O as gov’t formed on Nov 12th

Khartoum and Kampala pledge joint temporary protection force {from Sudan and Uganda} for the I.O leader until full security arrangements are completed, urge the parties to form new government as scheduled.

The two nations further promised to cater for the cost of maintaining their troops during the 3 months stay, pending security arrangements in South Sudan.

Both Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni and the head of the Sudanese Sovereign Council Abdul Fattah Burhan are now engaging President Kiir and the SPLM I.O leader Dr. Riek Machar over the new proposal, inside sources (State House Uganda).

In addition;
Last month UN Security Council expressed to President Kiir to form government on time as agreed by the parties before.

UNSC also expressed their willingness to provide security to the SPM-IO during the Transitional Period.
