Be aware: South Sudan did not recruit any military unit but dismissed only one from SSPDF!

Over the week there has been false news that South Sudan has trained and recruited 10,000 soldiers which is not true. We all know that some elements are trying their best to make sure there is no peace implemented but don’t listen to them, keep being a peace partner.

In the first place, for South Sudan to train any unit there must be budget in place but there is no army recruited. South Sudan government is committed to implementing revitalized peace agreement.

What is quiet known is that the former commander of the 5th infantry division, -Gen. Stephen Buay Maj. had been charged with treason, rebellion, and offenses during operations, disobedience of lawful orders and violation of standing orders according to articles 61, 67 and 69 of the SPLA Act, 2009.

Senior South Sudan general has been dismissed from the army, his ranks stripped and he was ordered to go home after the court martial found him guilty of treason.

Buay was also stripped of his military ranks and dismissed him from the army.
