‘Africa is not a laboratory’ – Drogba supports Eto’o in accusing ‘racist’ remarks by French doctors 

The former International Football player from Ivory Coast Didier Drogba victimized the doctors who decided to make outrageous comments on the African continent in a television broadcast

Legendary Chelsea and Ivory Coast Didier Drogba supported Samuel Eto’o and Demba Ba in condemning the quotations of two French medical practitioners had said on tv that the vaccination which could be useful in treating coronavirus should be tested first in Africa.

Professors Jean-Paul Mira & Camille Locht made the statement on French TV platform LCI and this did n’t go so well with both the likes of Eto’o and Ba, who found the remarks to be racist.

In a series of tweets, Drogba entered and hit the medical practitioners asking African leaders to protect the reputation of the continent.

“It is inconceivable that we continue to accept this. Africa is not a laboratory,” the 42-year-old said.


“I strongly denounce these serious, racist and contemptuous remarks!

“Help us save lives in Africa and stop the spread of this virus which is destabilizing the whole world, instead of considering ourselves as guinea pigs.

“It’s absurd! African leaders have a responsibility to protect people from these heinous plots ”

The coronavirus has infected more than a million people worldwide with more than 53,000 deaths.
